Ade Amos

I’m Ade, a software engineer who likes getting close to the work behind a product. I ask people to show me where a process gets stuck, then build with them until the solution works in their day-to-day.

  • ✓Forward-deployed engineer: I work with manufacturing companies, digital marketing agencies, and other small businesses to map workflows, turn requirements into software, and see them through delivery.
  • ✓Software engineer, 10+ years: I’ve built large-scale applications, mobile apps, and consumer apps for large enterprises and consumer businesses, including work in medical devices. I used React, React Native, and TypeScript across frontend, backend, data, and data integrations.
  • ✓Manufacturing Operations System: I built a dealer portal, staff CRM, and fabrication workflow that carries manufacturing orders into production.
  • ✓Blog Content System and Agency Client Performance Dashboard: I built content generation, review, and publishing workflows, along with reporting dashboards across six agency service lines.

[ 02 ] · How I work

Four habits from the builds that went well.

01

Start with the people doing the job

Interviews, direct observation, a process map, then written requirements. Code comes after. On the manufacturing build that meant the retail counter and the shop floor before the editor.

02

Build for the actual user

Shop-floor screens got bigger type and a plainer interface. Paper travel tickets stayed where they still worked. Integrations adapt to the client’s field names, not the other way round.

03

Put the rule in the interface

“Needs Clarification” requires a message, even by drag and drop. Nonstandard requests route to a person. Publication and ad concepts wait for approval where the work calls for it.

04

Verify the output, not the status

A green run is not a published article. A saved state is not a synced record. Read back after every write, keep unknowns unknown, and keep failed work instead of discarding it.
